WHERE SMALL TOWNS GET HEARD

PULL UP A CHAIR.
I’M SO GLAD YOU’RE HERE.

This show started in 2020 as The Small-Minded Podcast, and 270+ episodes later, the idea hasn’t changed: the people building businesses, schools, nonprofits, and county offices in places like ours have stories worth hearing. Some weeks it’s me with a mic and a strategy. Some weeks it’s a neighbor you should know. Every week, it’s for the people building the business and the town.

ED RABER ON SHOWING UP FOR YOUR COMMUNITY

Ed is Dubuque County’s Director of Planning and Development, and the guy with an $8 name badge who has spent thirty years showing up to whatever room needed one more person willing to raise their hand. We talk about building an entrepreneurial ecosystem with no wrong door, how one meeting he called himself started the Farley library project, and why making a difference means sticking with it.

You've come to the right place,
and I'm so glad you're here.

I started Molly Knuth Media in 2017 after teaching high school English, and I've spent nearly a decade helping small-town businesses tell their stories. These days I’m using my own voice, too: on the podcast, on stage, and anywhere small towns need someone to speak up. Because what you build here ripples out past your own front door and beyond your ZIP code.
